Our kitchen team cooks with the seasons, enjoys working with local producers from East Belgium and loves surprising guests with something new every day. Whether you are staying at the hotel or simply joining us for a meal, the doors (and tables) of our restaurant in Bütgenbach are always open to you.

Our cuisine

Our cuisine is deeply rooted in the region. Wherever possible, we source meat, eggs, bread, fruit, yoghurt and honey from local producers in East Belgium. And when ingredients come from further away, we choose them with the very same attention to quality. Our menu changes with the seasons and continues to evolve through the creativity and curiosity of our kitchen team. Supported by dedicated apprentices, our chefs bring together fresh ideas, regional cuisine from East Belgium and international influences every day.

The morning begins with our generous, balanced and carefully prepared breakfast buffet. Fresh pastries, cold cuts and muesli are joined by homemade cakes, egg dishes and healthy options. The perfect way to start the day feeling well nourished and full of energy.

Every evening, our hotel guests enjoy a seasonal four-course menu, freshly created each day by our kitchen team. External guests can choose between a four- to seven-course menu or a smaller à la carte selection. Fresh ingredients, careful preparation and a thoughtfully selected wine list come together to create a memorable evening at the Bütgenbacher Hof.

Bistro & brasserie with terrace

For a relaxed lunch or a small afternoon snack, our brasserie is just the right place. Located in the conservatory, it offers an open view over the green village square. The bistro menu changes regularly and is served daily from 12 pm to 6 pm. Relaxed, uncomplicated and open to both hotel and day guests.

Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine

When the weather is nice, many of our guests head out to the terrace. There, we serve dishes from our ice cream and bistro menu, alongside refreshing drinks and aperitifs around the cosy fire pit. A lovely place to let the afternoon drift by or ease into the evening.

Please understand that dogs are unfortunately not permitted in the main building/restaurant. Of course, your four-legged friend is welcome to join you on our terrace in good weather. When staying overnight, your furry friends are warmly welcome in our neighbouring buildings "Landleben" and "Bergerhof" (100 metres from the hotel).
