The High Fens after the fire
The wildfire in the High Fens has deeply affected many people and understandably caused some uncertainty. The images have touched us too, because the Fens are more than just a landscape to us. They are a piece of home. Can you still discover and enjoy East Belgium right now? YES!
Our region is still well worth a visit. Around the Bütgenbacher Hof, beautiful landscapes, forests, lakes and trails are waiting to be discovered.

As part of this region, we don’t just want to talk about it – we also want to actively contribute. And with your stay, you help us give something back.
For every new reservation made until end of September for a stay in September or October, we will donate €15.00 per adult per day to support the regeneration of the areas in the High Fens affected by the fire.
The donation is entirely on us – you don’t have to pay anything extra or give anything up. Together, we can help preserve a piece of the region we call home. Especially now, our region and the people who live and work here need guests who continue to visit, discover, enjoy and experience all that it has to offer.
